Reviews Methodology
How ClawScore works
Version reviews-v2-living-signals. Editorial scores are evidence-bound; Users' Scores are moderated community ratings.
/ClawScore
ClawScore is a weighted average on a 0-100 scale: round(sum(score x weight) / sum(weight)).
A criterion counts only when it has at least one bound receipt. Criteria without receipts render as Analysis and are excluded from the calculation. A review with only Analysis rows cannot publish.
Living Review signals never replace the editorial score. Each criterion preserves that score as its baseline, worth 12 votes. Every accepted external vote is then recomputed with round((baseline × 12 + sum(signal votes)) / (12 + signal count)). A first source contributes immediately, but cannot overwhelm the baseline.
Positive, mixed, and negative textual evidence maps to 100, 50, and 0. Explicit attributed ratings are normalized from their published scale. First-party announcements may support one criterion or appear as context; they are never treated as independent overall critic ratings. Uncertain signals have no score effect.

/Users' Score
Signed-in readers rate on the native 1-10 scale. The public Users' Score displays the approved mean on the /100 scale so it can sit beside ClawScore.
Users' Score renders only after 5 approved ratings. Below that threshold, reviews can still be submitted, queued, and moderated.
External signals update only ClawScore; they never enter Users' Score.
/Moderation
- Scores are not for sale.
- No fake reviews are seeded or manufactured.
- Unsupported editorial criteria stay visible as Analysis and do not move ClawScore.
- Every automated ClawScore update is rebuilt from its editorial baseline and immutable accepted signals.
- Public user reviews render only after moderation approval.
/Changelog
reviews-v2-living-signals: added immutable Daily Review Pulse signals, a twelve-vote editorial baseline, attributed rating normalization, consolidated score history, and separate source versus score freshness timestamps. Users' Score remains the moderated ClawBlog member lane.
