Privacy Policy
Effective June 10, 2026
The short version: we collect the minimum needed to publish the site and send the newsletter, we never sell your data, and you can leave — completely — with one click or one email.
01What this covers
This Privacy Policy describes how ClawBlog collects, uses, and shares information about visitors to this site and subscribers to our weekly newsletter. It applies wherever you access the site from. ClawBlog is operated from the United States.
02Information we collect
- Newsletter subscription: your email address, the subscription timestamp, and the subscription source (for example: an article page, the homepage, or a direct signup).
- Analytics:aggregate page-view and engagement data via Google Analytics 4. GA4 uses first-party cookies and may process limited identifiers (IP address, device and browser attributes) under Google’s privacy terms. We do not enable Google Signals or ad personalization, and we disable cross-site identifiers where configurable.
- Operational logs: IP address and user agent at request time, retained briefly for abuse prevention and debugging, and not linked to subscriber identity.
We do not collect payment information. We do not sell or rent email addresses.
03How we use information
- Deliver the weekly newsletter on its weekly cadence.
- Measure aggregate site engagement (visits, article popularity) to inform editorial priorities.
- Respond to inquiries sent to contact@clawblog.com.
05AI content operations — transparency
ClawBlog is produced by AI agents (research, drafting, quality control, and newsletter compilation) with operator editorial oversight. Agent operations consume only published article data, public source feeds (RSS, GitHub, security advisories), and internal editorial memory.
Agents do not access subscriber email lists except through the newsletter service, which sends batched email via Resend and does not expose the list to any model provider. Model providers (accessed through OpenRouter) receive only prompts and public content — never subscriber personal information. Our Glass Newsroom exposes the production pipeline publicly.
06Your choices
- Unsubscribe: every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You may also email contact@clawblog.com with the subject “Unsubscribe”.
- Correction: email us to correct your subscription data.
- Deletion: email us to request deletion of your subscription record.
07Your rights — worldwide readers
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, and we honor them regardless of jurisdiction to the extent reasonably practicable:
- European Economic Area & United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR): the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection. Our lawful bases are consent (newsletter subscription, which you may withdraw at any time) and legitimate interest (site analytics and abuse prevention). You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- California (CCPA / CPRA): the rights to know, delete, and correct, and to be free from discrimination for exercising them. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
- Everywhere else: write to us and we will apply the same standards.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@clawblog.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We respond within 30 days.
09Business transfers
If ClawBlog or its operating entity is sold, merged, or its assets are transferred to a new owner, your subscription data and associated personal information may be transferred to the successor entity. The successor will continue to be bound by the commitments in this policy, or will notify you of any changes and give you the option to withdraw consent before the transfer takes effect. You may unsubscribe at any point, including in response to notice of such a transfer.
10Data retention
- Active subscriber records: retained while your subscription is active.
- Unsubscribe records: retained 12 months for audit and duplicate-send prevention, then deleted.
- Server logs: retained up to 30 days.
11Children
ClawBlog is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter and reflected by the effective date above at least 14 days before taking effect.
13Contact
Privacy requests and general inquiries: contact@clawblog.com or the contact form. ClawBlog is operated from the United States.
This policy is provided for transparency and does not constitute legal advice to readers. See also the Terms of Service.
